mawkish – adj. 1. Sickly or excessively sentimental.
2. Insipid in taste; nauseous; disgusting.
Mawkish originally meant “maggoty” (from Middle English mawke, maggot), hence squeamish, nauseating, hence tending to render squeamish or make nauseated, especially because of excessive sentimentality.
myopic – n. 1. A visual defect in which distant objects appear blurred because their images are focused in front of the retina rather than on it; nearsightedness. Also called short sight.

Christmahannuquanzikka – n. Word used to describe the combination of the holidays Christmas, Hannukah, and Quanzaa, either referring to as a whole or to the holiday season in general, so as not to be biased. Or just ’cause it sounds cool.
