Many Americans continue to voice dissatisfaction with high tax rates, specifically in the context of the huge tax increases passed by the current administration.
The data, however, suggests that non-imaginary tax rates have not risen for most individuals. What else could be driving the anger over taxes?
Where is this data coming from? Who was asked what question? While it is likely true that people have unrealistically high estimates of the tax rate, I doubt many people think it’s 100%. The second graph insinuates that Obama being African-American is the cause of misguided views. The green line could just as easily be “President’s membership in Democratic party” or “President’s liking of Grey Poupon mustard.”
tl;dr? The methodology in this post sucks.
Carl, unfortunately that’s all that liberals have got…. the race card. I am paying higher income taxes under Obama. Less people are seeing their income taxes go up as more and more of them slide into the % of Americans not paying, because of the destructive policies of this president and his liberal buddies.
