The Text: Since World War II, there’s been a strikingly consistent pattern in American politics: The economy does much better when a Democrat is in the White House.
More specifically, since 1947, the U.S. economy has grown at an average real rate of 4.35 percent under Democratic presidents and just 2.54 percent under Republicans:

The perennially low prices you pay at the retail conglomerate are made up for in your tax dollars that go toward the subsidization of the billion-dollar company’s even lower wages to its employees. But Wal-Mart cares; after all, if it didn’t give a shit about its workers it wouldn’t have held this food drive so that they don’t starve.
