Probably a good strategy. Wouldn’t want to mention signing into law indefinite detention of anyone he chooses or giving away trillions of dollars in a deal based on the honor system…
So, before you all get started here, I’d like to clarify that the President is not responsible for 90% of the progress or regress of the country, at most given times (Other times include: War time, War time, War time, and Super-War time.)
The President’s Cabinet? Does it keep the Presidential cups and fine-china (made in, that is)?
What’s a Bureaucracy? :S
The President is passing Bill’s! That of course, he crafted himself with all that extra time he has…so it’s his fault!
Oh hey! What about the other 300+ people in Congress? Oh pfft, they’re not important…not like they affect anything…or everything.
They keep saying we’re out of a recession, but I still can’t afford Red Lobster!
P.S. Pro-Tip for all you internet-jockies/Stumblers: Protecting the President is the -secondary- duty of the Secret Service. I’d give you the primary, but why should I have all the fun?
P.P.S. The country is built to (and, if anyone knows a thing or two about business, one knows this is occurs naturally.) go through recessions and expansions. Progress occurs when recessions don’t have as large of an impact, and expansion last longer.
A bill can be passed with a veto override requiring a 2/3 majority in the House and Senate. The President has very little legislative power. His job is to enforce the laws written by Congress and approved by the Supreme Court. Don’t be ignorant.
This is really how I believe President Obama’s campaign should be run: just make more Romney vs. Reality videos. The footage of Floppy Mittens yapping away is all the President needs for victory.
Obama should thank Ronald Reagan: he closed all the mental institutions. Now these people are out on the street and running for president!

About as much effort as he’s put into fixing the country.

We may just spend way more on our campaign than we raise, symbolic of our foreign and domestic spending habits of years prior
