Corrections Corporation of America recently admitted to falsifying the hours of 4,800 employees in Idaho’s largest prison, thus increasing the amount of money the state–aka taxpayers–paid them…for nothing. In spite of this obvious corruption, there is little being done to punish the institution.
This time it’s regarding a recent settlement on illegal home foreclosures and how regulators have the ability to give information on how homeowners were illegally foreclosed upon to those families…but still, in their “indecision”, have effectively sided with the banks as opposed to the people. So much for transparency.
Among other things, Albert Einstein is remembered for having said that “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing”. A lack of it, however, is even worse; which is precisely why FOX News’ chokehold on news viewership spells disaster for the United States.
